Large Red Flowers

Flowers and bow ties are embroidered using pre-washed cotton, satin and velvets. There is an inner fabric layer that when steamed wrinkles up giving a wonderful textured appearance.

Layers are hand sewn together. Decorative sparkles and buttons are attached using non-toxic weather proof silicone gel. Velcro is sewn onto the back which is adjustable and attaches easily and securely to a goggle strap or a dog collar.

All products are guaranteed to stand up to mountain conditions for a full year.

I have worn my helmet collar for 3 ski seasons. It has never fallen off of my helmet or been damaged in any way. Some of the sparkly glue that I have added to these new flowers eventually starts to wear off but can easily be reapplied if desired.

Our one year old and very energetic golden doodle has been wearing her flower for the past five months. She is an avid runner through Colorado’s hills and dales. Her absolute favorite activity is playing chase me ~ chase you with other dogs at the highest speeds and in all conditions … especially snow!

Her flower has stayed on and withstood every test of nature.

Please wash flowers and bow ties by hand and lay to dry.

Although the fabrics have been pre-washed for shrinkage, they will curl up if thrown in a hot wash or dryer and the glitter around the edges will come off. If you wash a flower by mistake you can iron it to bring it back to its original shape.

I learned about teen cancer several years ago. I couldn’t stop thinking about what that would have been like for me at that age. I also learned that the unique needs of this population and age group are greatly under supported. Teens are often placed in pediatrics while undergoing treatment. This could be very psychologically diminishing for a teenager. Roger Daltry of the rock band The Who and co-founder of Teen Cancer America says, “The best therapy for a teen with cancer is another teen with cancer.” My goal is to support Teen Cancer America’s mission by bringing teens together to drum, dance, do yoga, connect with one another, to laugh and to feel strong again.

 

The purpose of selling these Flowers and Bow Ties is to raise money to help in the creation of pre-recorded video Creative Yoga Dance classes to be gifted to hospitals and treatment centers for Teen Cancer. My goal is to create a blended model of live group and private Zoom classes as well as inspiring movement videos for teens and children to access at any time. These videos and zoom classes will include chair Yoga Dance to support teens who are chair and bed bound or who just aren’t up to dancing around. Movement and breath can greatly support their healing process. My classes are nearly always a bit silly with crazy props and fun music from around the world. Laughter is always good medicine!
